The 6th wave of the Life in Kyrgyzstan Study conducted in Fall 2019

The 6th wave of the LiK Study (2019) is being conducted by the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ), located in Großbeeren, Germany, and University of Central Asia (UCA) in Kyrgyzstan. The LiK Study 2019 is co-funded by USAID and AKF. The data collection will take place in November-December 2019 in all regions (oblasts) in Kyrgyzstan and in cities Bishkek and Osh. The data collection is conducted by SIAR Research and Consulting company. 

The specifics of the the 6th wave are the introduction of the computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) technique, and introduction of the youth questionnaire for household members aged 14-17. There were several changes made compared to 2016 wave such as introduction of thematic modules on rural investments, effects of shocks, perceptions on climate change, and questions to track some of SDG16 indicators.
